Job Description :

Seeking a QA Test Engineer to champion quality and help to deliver innovative features for consumers. As part of the Customer Services Technology team, you'll work in a dynamic, agile environment, contributing to over 150 microservices on a cloud-native platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality at all phases of development, from requirements refinement to code release.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners and designers to ensure high-quality output.
  • Agile Engagement: Actively participate in stand-ups, planning and retrospectives.
  • Testing Expertise: Perform functional and risk-based testing of web applications and microservices (.NET or Java)
  • API Testing: Utilise tools such as Postman for API testing, documenting and presenting results to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Engage in root cause analysis, issue resolution, and escalate issues as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Prior QA experience in an agile team, working alongside developers to achieve sprint goals.
  • Ability to coach and mentor a quality-focused mindset within the team.
  • Skilled in manual or automated testing of web applications and microservices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, AWS), Jira, Confluence and Slack.
  • Experience with API testing and comfortable working with .NET or Java microservices.
  • Experience utilising automation tools such as Cypress, Nightwatch.js is beneficial.
  • Experience with Splunk, JavaScript, and .NET integration testing.
  • Strong documentation skills for sharing test results and insights with stakeholders.

Please note: This is an initial 6m contract, 1 day per week required working in the Nottingham office and paid inside IR35.
