Qualified Social Worker - CIN Team - PPR Social Care : Job Details

A social worker in Islington's Children in Need (CIN) service is responsible for:

• Assessing needs: Evaluating the needs, capabilities, and circumstances of children and their families 
• Developing plans: Creating care plans and implementing them 
• Providing support: Guiding children and families to promote positive outcomes 
• Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of case interactions and decisions 
• Collaborating: Working with other professionals, agencies, and services 
• Prioritizing safety: Ensuring child protection is always a priority 
• Identifying risks: Analyzing risks and protective factors 
• Advocating: Requesting resources and services to meet the client's needs 
• Communicating: Conveying sensitive information to children, families, professionals, and courts 
• Educating: Helping children and their families understand their rights and responsibilities
