About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our Youth Justice Service. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting young people in the justice system, helping them desist from offending and promoting positive outcomes. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring public protection, safeguarding vulnerable children, and reducing the need for care proceedings.

With a manageable caseload, strong management support, and access to high-quality training, you will have the resources and professional freedom to apply creative interventions and make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake high-quality risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring that young people receive appropriate interventions.
• Provide direct support to children and families, promoting desistance from offending.
• Contribute to the development of care plans and participate in risk management meetings.
• Work within the Child First agenda, collaborating with partner agencies to deliver a range of targeted interventions.
• Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and contribute to quality assurance processes.
• Engage in reflective supervision and training, ensuring continuous professional development.
