Quality Engineer 12 Mth FTC - Zachary Daniels : Job Details

My client is a global engineering organisation that designs, engineers and manufactures leading products for the O&G industry. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer for their site in Fife on a 12 month FTC.

Responsibilities:

• Manage each assigned Supplier's Safety, Quality and Delivery performance through defined metrics and KPIs
• Develop Supplier's capability through a commitment to Continuous Improvement through empowerment and management by data
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of product requirements and communicate Quality requirements and initiatives

Experience:

• Understand the concepts and application of problem-solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D and the concepts of 5S and Lean
• Good PC skills, including knowledge of Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Statistical Analysis & Presentation software
• Good understanding of core manufacturing & inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, NDT
• Understand the interactions between industry/regulatory standards & customer requirements
• 6 Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent would be desirable
