Job Title: Site TechnicianLocation: Based from the Brandon Area (with frequent travel to various job sites)Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our clients' team, working with the the construction industry. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of materials used across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for conducting on-site material testing, inspections, and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document field testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor and assess the quality of materials delivered to sites, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements.
- Accurately record test results, compile reports, and communicate findings to the project team.
- Frequent travel to various job sites across East Anglia is required, with very occasional overnight stays depending on project location.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other site personnel to support smooth project execution.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Working knowledge of materials such as concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt would be preferable
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to varying work environments.
