A superb opportunity for someone with Quality Inspector skills and proven work experience, looking to develop their skill set, contribute to delivering on time and significantly increase their basic salary expectation.     Any previous experience in a precision engineering environment, manufacturing components and parts for the Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Materials Handling, Construction or Agricultural sector either OEM or 1st/2nd Tier supplier would be advantageous.   BASIC SALARY: £15.50 per hour - £16.50 per hour (starting salary)   BENEFITS: · Competitive overtime rates · 25 days annual holiday allowance · 8 x Statutory paid holidays 2024 allowance  · Contributory Pension · Financial reward schemes · Free On-site secure parking · Early finish on Fridays at 13:00   LOCATION: Daventry, Northamptonshire   COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Northampton, Rugby, Warwick, Coventry, Milton Keynes   JOB DESCRIPTION:  In this Quality Inspector position you will be required to verify machined parts and fabricated assemblies, to ensure conformance to specification at set-up, during production and final inspection.   Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: · Final inspection - all products · Liaising with staff and supervisors · Preparation of data as required for use by departments within the Company · Provision of assistance to other Departments, Managers and Directors as required · Maintain agreed quality non-conformity targets within inspection team · Maintain internal non-conformance records · Aid manufacturing departments with any suspected faults · Liaise with quality engineering team to update on internal non-conformance results.   WORKING HOURS: 45 hours per week (Mon to Thurs 07:00 to 17:15 and Fri 07:00 to 13:00)   PERSON SPECIFICATION:     As our Quality Inspector, you will:   · Have the ability to interpret engineering drawings · Possess the ability to make decisions and use own initiative · Possess good communication skills both verbally and written · Have experience of inspection equipment such as digital callipers, height gauges etc. · Possess experience of inspection in a production environment · Have the ability to attend work regularly and punctually · Be able to work unsupervised · Be self-motivated · Be methodical and precise   THE COMPANY:     Established in 1974 we are a key player in the supply of engineered components to UK & international clients in markets such as: power generation, commercial vehicles, construction, agriculture, automotive, materials handling and lift and access equipment.   Working for a long established, financially secure business, experiencing growth throughout the years and in particular year on year since 2019.   PROSPECTS:  This Quality Inspector role is a fantastic job with work force stability and great career and earning prospects.     You will be joining a business that embraces change, steps up to outside worldwide challenges, encourages staff in their production manufacturing role, and who rewards and promotes from within where possible - staff retention is a key focus for our business.    INTERESTED?
