Quality Inspector / Trainee Quality Engineer - Preston

£30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

• Working with the likes of Ferrari, McLaren & Porsche.
• Ideally need goo CMM experience.

Our client is part of a prestigious global engineering group and are considered as the market leader in the design, development and manufacture of high precision machined components for the automotive industry, working with many of the industries luxury car manufacturers including Ferrari and Lotus. They are very established with a significant customer base and have grown year on year for the last 20 years, with some significant orders ahead for 2024.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Inspection of bought-in components, assemblies/sub-assemblies and tooling where needed.
• Complete measurement reports and create records as appropriate.
• Operator and maintain inspection equipment as required.
• Support calibration as required.
• Isolate non-conforming product when requested.
• Support Quality Technician in carrying out MSA studies.
• Ensure your area of responsibility complies with the Environmental Management System.

Experience & training:

• At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing, ideally in CNC prevision machining but not essential.
• Experience programming CCM machines.
• Understanding on the use of measurement equipment.
• Understanding of technical drawings, including draughting standards and geometric tolerance.
• Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and Powerpoint.
