Job Description :

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all production processes, materials, and finished products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing quality systems, leading teams, resolving quality-related issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager collaborates with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and high-performance products to customers.

Main Responsibilities

Quality Control:

  • Full responsibility for all aspects of quality within the end to end business delivery
  • Responsible for maintaining all inspection witness and hold points in line with the inspection and test plan and ensuring all snagging
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System.
  • Conduct routine audits to identify and address quality shortfalls or improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the Non Conformance Reporting process including reviewing all NCR’s, tracking their timely containment and close out, ensuring diligent investigations have been conducted to identify the root cause and ensuring all Corrective Actions have been completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Corrective Actions identified from internal and external audits are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Records are complete for each project and stored correctly within the BRUSH filing structure.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Support the maintenance of the integrated management system incorporating ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 to ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure all products comply with all appropriate legislative, industry specific, internal and contractual requirements.
  • Stay informed on updates to industry standards and incorporate them into quality processes.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Quality team.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement.
  • Provide training and mentorship to enhance team capabilities in all aspects of Quality Management.
  • Produce and present the monthly quality reports in line with standard KPI’s.

Testing & Validation:

  • Oversee routine and type testing of BRUSH products, ensuring full compliance with all legislative, industry specific, internal and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all test results are properly documented, analysed, and acted upon and stored within the Manufacturing Records.
  • Collaborate with R&D and design teams to address any product performance issues identified during testing.
  • Support all change applications.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Support Supply Chain and Group Compliance with the new supplier selection and onboarding process as applicable.
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality specifications.
  • Manage the supplier Non Conformance Reporting process including reviewing all NCR’s, tracking their timely containment and close out, ensuring diligent investigations have been conducted to identify the root cause and ensuring all Corrective Actions have been completed in a timely manner.

Customer Interaction:

  • Address customer complaints related to product quality, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support customer audits and ensure alignment with client specifications and expectations.
  • Responsibility for the close out of all Warranty claims raised by working with all internal departments as applicable.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Analyse quality metrics, identify trends, and lead initiatives to reduce defects and enhance product reliability.
  • Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement in Quality management.
  • Develop RoadMap projects to address improvement activities of the business.
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • A degree background in Business, Quality, Science, or an Engineering related discipline or HNC with relevant industry experience

  • Understanding and application of lean Six Sigma tools, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve & Control) principles and applications.

Experience

  • Extensive experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Experience in using data analysis software such as Minitab.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques
