Job Title - Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Job Location - Barrow in Furness

Start Date - ASAP

Standard Rate - £60,000 - £75,000 per year

Duration - Permanent

Standard Hours - Monday - Friday - 45 hrs per week

Job Duties -

• Ability to price and prepare tender estimates for both large and small projects.
• Update and manage costing system for presentation
• Liaise and negotiate with the client to agree any variations
• Visits construction sites to measure new tenders and quantities for existing work
• Assess project and tender documentation, requirements and report findings, omissions, requirements for information to team
• Monthly payment applications and settling differences
• Liaising with project teams on a regular basis
• Liaise with client Quantity Surveyor's and construction personnel on a regular basis regarding financial and contractual matters
• responsible for commercially managing various projects from the tender stage through to final account, ensuring the smooth financial management of projects under your control.
• Preferred groundworks / civil background

Essential Requirements - Must have strong knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts / QS degree / RICS
