Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – £50,000 - £60,000 – Aldermaston, Berkshire

The Role

Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record of successful cost and contract management? Are you looking for an opportunity to work on exciting architectural fit-out projects in the MOD sector? Space Interior Systems Ltd is looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our Strategic Works Division.

In this role, you will:

• Provide cost forecasts, estimates, and reports.
• Prepare and manage contract documentation.
• Oversee cost control and risk management.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

This role is based in Aldermaston/Tadley, with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, including NEC, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

The Person

We’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (desirable but not essential).
• Strong estimating, cost management, and forecasting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and contract documentation preparation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Please note that you must be a British Citizen to apply for a role with us and reside with a commutable distance to Aldermaston, Berkshire.

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 10 years in order to apply for Clearance.
