Quantity Surveyor - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Group Rhodes, one of Europe’s largest specialist machine manufacturers in their field.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on a variety of engineering projects, liaising with clients and operating under NEC contracts.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for: 

• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and project forecasts
• Overseeing the preparation of tenders and quotations ensuring that risks are identified and mitigated
• Setting up and managing projects under NEC contract
• Issuing early warning notices and managing variations and compensation events
• Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes

The Quantity Surveyor will need: 

• Previous experience working as a QS
• Construction, manufacturing or engineering industry experience in a commercial role
• Experience of NEC contracts
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence
• An understanding of manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous but not essential as this can be learnt.
• Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
