The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Shepperton, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of JCT, CDP and NEC contracts and experience in cost management, contract administration, and project monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
• Administer and track contracts, manage client relationships, variations and applications.
• Oversee change control, including early warnings, compensation events, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure accurate cost assessments and timely delivery.
• Provide financial reports and recommendations, fostering strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, document changes and capture variations.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and tender evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure Contract compliance and delivery.
• Implement Project cost accounting to track project resource and expenditure
• Work alongside the Project Management and Accounts teams.

Key Outcomes:

• Accurate as-built records and cost control for projects valued between £25,000 and £1.5M+.
• Enhanced operational efficiency through financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Delivery of innovative solutions for project planning, training and safety content.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (RICS accreditation is advantageous).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction company
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry, contracts and commercial awareness.
• Proven expertise in cost control, value recovery and change management.
• Proficient in financial analysis and Excel, with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT, and Design & Build contracts.
• Experience in the Construction sector is essential.
