Role: Quantity Surveyor - Water Proofing

Location: Central London

Salary: £60,000- £70,000 (Package including car allowance)

Are you a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial Roofing and Waterproofing projects? Spencer & James, in partnership with a well-established family-run multidisciplinary Main Contractor, are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to contribute to large-scale waterproofing projects across London. What You’ll Be Doing

• Foster strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
• Collaborate with the pre-construction team on all commercial matters.
• Work closely with the Contracts Manager and Site Manager to address technical issues.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Compliance to ensure subcontractors meet company assessment standards.
• Review subcontractor accounts and prepare payment certificates in line with company terms and conditions.
• Issue timely withholding or payment notices for relevant applications or invoices.
• Prepare and issue valuations, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), in accordance with contract requirements.
• Develop cash flow projections for the business unit, incorporating all projects.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for somebody with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who has previous experience working with Tier 1 Contractors, and experience working within Waterproofing as a Quantity Surveyor.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• CIOB / RICS
• Previous experience Quantity Surveying for a Tier 1 Contractor
