Quarry Operative - Grundon : Job Details

Salary: Starting from £638-£676 per week depending on NVQ (or equivalent) level in mobile plant operationsContract: Full-time, permanentWorking hours: 47.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 6.30am-4.30pm

Do you have experience of operating mobile plant, e.g. bulldozers, articulated dumpers and loading shovels? Got an NVQ2 or equivalent in mobile plant operations? Happy to hit the ground running in a multi-site role that involves driving between our quarries (we have four, in South Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Surrey/Hampshire border) providing mobile plant and weighbridge cover?

What you’ll be doing as Quarry OperativeAs roving Quarry Operative, based at either Kennetholme (RG19 4NT) or New Barn Farm, Cholsey (OX10 9RX), depending on where you live, you will carry out the daily maintenance and operation of mobile plant machinery, from checking the engine, tyres and oil levels, to re-fuelling at the end of shifts.

You will also cover the Weighbridge Operator when needed – greeting customers, inspecting documentation and producing accurate weighbridge tickets for all loads entering and leaving site.
