Real Estate Tax Assistant Manager/ManagerReal Estate Tax Assistant Manager/Manager in a top 10 Accountancy Practice based in central London! We are working closely with our client to further expand their increasingly growing Real Estate Tax team who are looking for both an assistant manager and manager to provide both compliance and advisory services to their in depth portfolio of property clients.The firm is an exponentially growing practice and is the UK's leading group in their expertise fostering an inclusive environment with a priority to develop their people. Responsibilities and DutiesAs a Real Estate Tax Assistant Manager/Manager, you will be responsible for managing your compliance portfolio, assisting both directors and partners in managing their work, as well as working closely with juniors to ensure award winning standards are upkept.Additionally, the role will involve a large amount of advisory work so a willingness to be involved in these projects is a must. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Deliver complex tax advisory projects and compliance assignments.
  • Complete solid technical research for complex assignments.
  • Assist with tax structuring and due diligence for real estate M&A activity.
  • Manage international tax assignments, collaborating with our CLA Global network.
  • Seek out opportunities to cross-sell other services to existing clients.
  • Coordinate the delivery of specialist tax advisory work (e.g., VAT, Stamp Taxes, Capital Allowances).
  • Help develop junior staff and assist them with their requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm's quality assurance and risk management procedures.
  • Provide exceptional client service and manage and maintain client relationships.

RequirementsCandidates will need to be ACA/ACCA/CA or CTA qualified with the ability to deliver an excellent service to their clients. Please note that Real Estate experience is not essential, however a requirement to be involved in the business and a passion for Real Estate is a must.Additional requirements include:

  • Strong awareness of specialist taxes and their application in the real estate sector
  • Excellent project management, working with various teams including cross-border work
  • Exhibit a strong level of commercial awareness to add value to their clients
  • Communicate efficiently to provide transparency and structure to the team.
  • UK corporate tax gained within the profession and/or industry
