Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Reed are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established company based in Kidlington for a dedicated Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. This role is crucial in ensuring that the office operations run smoothly and that they consistently make a great first impression. The successful candidate will be the face of the company, handling a variety of tasks from administrative support to client interaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Answer the main phone line, transfer calls, and take messages as appropriate.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and general email inboxes, ensuring proper distribution.
- Welcome visitors and manage visitor sign-ins and security procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
- Order and maintain office supplies, including stationery and kitchen supplies.
- Liaise with office suppliers, such as cleaning services and plant suppliers.
- Conduct regular safety checks and assist with emergency procedures.
- Support the organisation of events, meetings, and company briefings.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to the management team as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent ability to use MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and use initiative.
- Good pass at GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
- Experience in a reception or administrative role is preferred but not essential.
