Job Summary: Receptionist (Education Sector)
We are looking for a dedicated and professional Receptionist to support a school by providing administrative assistance and an efficient, courteous reception service. The role involves working closely with the administration team to deliver a seamless, high-quality service that supports the school's improvement priorities. The successful candidate will embody and promote the school's values and ethos, fostering effective relationships and communication with parents, carers, families, community members, and other visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties:
- Answer phone calls and emails, and welcome visitors.
- Process telephone calls and distribute incoming mail.
- Provide administrative support to the Professional Services Lead.
- Assist with the implementation of school administration policies.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Cover for absent administration colleagues.
- Marketing Duties:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all pupils, parents, staff, professionals, and visitors.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
- Ensure marketing materials are current and available.
- Produce and distribute publicity materials, including newsletters and brochures.
- Organise and manage school events involving external visitors.
- Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safeguarding of pupils.
- Ensure visitors comply with the school's safeguarding requirements.
- Assist with pupil welfare matters.
- Pupil Services:
- Administer school photographs and daily transport registers.
- Fire Drill:
- Support fire drill procedures and ensure the safety of all staff, students, and visitors.
