Passionate about people,you’ll support them to take control, improve their quality of life and facethe future with confidence.We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and skilled Recovery Workers tojoin the team at our brand new Ashford-based Recovery House. This residentialservice consists of 5 rooms and provides up to 5 days support for individualswith enduring mental health needs, who are in crisis.During their stay, service users benefit from a safe and therapeuticenvironment, which includes quiet spaces, spaces to socialise, and spaceswhere people can access a sensory environment and activities. Our personcentred approach means service users are supported to engage and lead in aprocess, which involves personalised support assessment, planning and review.The aim is to assess and support the on-going needs of our service users tobuild on their existing skills, support them to learn new ones, to developeffective coping mechanisms and build confidence to manage their mental healthand to stay well.### Role ResponsibilityYou will provide recovery focused support to service users in accordance withtheir support plans. You will have well-honed skills in positivecommunication, engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditionalpositive regard for service users.You will have the maturity to work within a positive framework supportingclients. You will have the ability to deliver services and interventions in aperson centred, non-judgmental manner, and recovery-based way.You will work alongside members of the service user’s circle of support, toenable individuals to be happy, healthy, and successful in achieving theirlife goals.Your typical duties will include:* providing support and guidance to service users* supporting service users with their medication* daily record keeping and incident report writing* help with inducting new staff members* upholding the cleanliness of the service to adhere to infection prevention control measuresYou will be required to work in a flexible manner on a roster basis this willinclude waking nights.Two of these posts are for dedicated night Recovery Workers. An integral partof the team, these two individuals - although primarily lone workers - will besupported in this role by a site based sleep-in colleague, who can be calledon in an emergency. Although night workers will be required to work someweekends, they will not be required to cover other rota shifts.### The Ideal CandidatePrevious experience in the mental health sector is desirable but notessential. What is important is that you have a genuine desire to supportindividuals in their recovery and have a can-do attitude.We need compassionate, proactive and professional individuals who are highlymotivated, hardworking and keen to support service users with mental healthand complex care needs. You also need to have the ability to support peoplewho are experiencing a crisis.You will have the maturity to work within a positive framework supportingclients.
