Reed Technology are looking for a recruitment consultant who has experience in the IT/Tech recruitment field.

As a recruitment consultant at Reed Technology, you’ll be responsible for attracting candidates for jobs and matching them to positions with client companies. You'll build positive relationships in order to gain a better understanding of your client’s recruitment needs and requirements and will be expected to develop the relationship further with each client.

You'll be expected to create adverts to post on relevant websites and job boards as well as searching and speaking to candidates via various platforms. You'll also screen candidates, interview and pass them on to the next level of the selection process.

In this role you will be responsible for the following;

  • Engage in business development activities to build a strong client base in the technology sector.
  • Source and attract top IT talent, using various tools and techniques.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from initial client consultation to candidate placement.
  • Provide exceptional service to both clients and candidates, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Work towards individual and team targets, contributing to the overall success of the business.
  • Make proactive calls to prospective clients and attend networking events to build long-term partnerships.
  • Travel to meet clients, understand their unique needs, and offer bespoke recruitment solutions.
  • Use advertising, networking, and referrals to find the perfect match.
  • Ensure candidates and clients receive top-notch service and support throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Meet targets, adhere to KPIs, and track your achievements

Skills needed for this role:

  • Communicate between the technical and non-technical stake holders at all levels.
  • Speak on behalf of technical teams and facilitate relationships with indirect stakeholders.
  • Understand how governance works and what governance is required and take responsibility for the assurance of a service and know what risks need to be managed.
  • Make decisions characterised by managed levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase.
  • Resolve technical disputes between wider peers and indirect stakeholders, considering all views and opinions.
  • Apply strategy, using and challenging patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements and provide guidance.
  • Design systems characterised by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity, and meaningful impact.
  • Work with well understood technology and identify appropriate patterns, understanding the whole context
  • Understand trends and practices outside your team and how these will impact your work and see how your work fits into the broader strategy and historical context and consider the patterns and interactions on a larger scale.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Proven track record in recruitment, specifically within the IT sector.
  • Strong business development experience and ability to build client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Driven, ambitious, and eager to succeed in a competitive market.
