Registered Manager – Children’s Home
Location: London
Salary: Starting at £50,000 per annum
Our clients’ services are based in Goodmayes and Leyton, and they provide accommodation for children from age 5 to 17 years of age. They specialise in children and young people with learning/physical disabilities and complex health needs.
The Group has been providing services for people with learning disabilities since 2004 and their services include two children’s homes and an adult supported living service.
The Role
They are seeking a compassionate, dedicated registered manager to lead their 7-bedded Children’s Home, providing care for children aged 5-18 years with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
- Promote safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Residential care, Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a management role within a residential children’s home setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children Act 1989 and 2004, and other relevant legislation.
- Proven experience in managing inspections from Ofsted and maintaining high standards of care.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
