Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum + £5,500 team bonusHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced leader passionate about improving the lives of children and young people? This leading provider of children's residential care is seeking a dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children, ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations. The plan for this role is for the incumbent to move into the Responsible Individual role in the future.

About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of an Ofsted-regulated children's home, championing the care, development, and well-being of young people. Leading a committed team, you'll ensure compliance with regulatory standards, foster a positive culture, and drive continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the residential home to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Children's Home Regulations (2015) and achieve exceptional Ofsted outcomes.
  • Advocate for the educational and personal development of children, supporting their growth and aspirations.
  • Manage recruitment, retention, and training to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Monitor administrative systems, budgets, and care records to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Provide regular staff supervision, appraisals, and professional development opportunities.
What You'll Need
  • At least 5 years' experience in residential childcare, with 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of children's regulations, therapeutic care, and child development.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in a childcare setting (or a commitment to achieving this qualification).
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
