Job Description :

This is an exciting opportunity to join fresh and forward-thinking organisation as a Registered Manager for a brand-new children’s residential home in Bradford giving you full autonomy working with the children and the RI to create a new environment for the children.Our client is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for young people, providing exceptional care and support to help them thrive.

The Role:As the Registered Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and shape the setup of this new home, establishing a culture of excellence from day one. You will oversee all aspects of the service, ensuring the safety, well-being, and progress of the children in your care while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the operational management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans tailored to each child's individual needs.

  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated staff team.

  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest safeguarding and child protection levels.

  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability.

  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement, creating a supportive and innovative environment for staff and residents.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or senior role within a children’s residential care setting.

  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation.

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards it.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Experience in setting up or managing a new service would be an advantage.

  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
