This is an exciting opportunity to join fresh and forward-thinking organisation as a Registered Manager for a brand-new children’s residential home in Bradford giving you full autonomy working with the children and the RI to create a new environment for the children.Our client is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for young people, providing exceptional care and support to help them thrive.
The Role:As the Registered Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and shape the setup of this new home, establishing a culture of excellence from day one. You will oversee all aspects of the service, ensuring the safety, well-being, and progress of the children in your care while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the operational management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans tailored to each child's individual needs.
Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated staff team.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest safeguarding and child protection levels.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability.
Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement, creating a supportive and innovative environment for staff and residents.
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or senior role within a children’s residential care setting.
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards it.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Experience in setting up or managing a new service would be an advantage.
A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
