Registered Midwife - Band 6 - In the Bolton Area - Night Shifts - MedicsPro : Job Details

MedicsPro are seeking experienced Registered Midwife’s - Band 6 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work at Royal Bolton Hospital.

This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, Night shifts, during the hours of 19.30pm - 07.00am.

Job Requirements:

• Strong communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Current upto date references- covering the previous 3 years.
• Neonatal Life Support
• Skills and Drills Training

Preferable Experience:

• Minimum 1 year recent UK experience working within an NHS Midwifery ward-based setting

Qualifications:

• Degree in Midwifery

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing supervision, care, and advice to women during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period.
• Providing full antenatal care, including screening tests in the hospital, community, and the home.
• Providing counseling and advice before and after screening and tests.
• Conducting deliveries on her own and caring for the newborn infant.
• Performing annual gynecological exams, including ultrasounds, pap smears and examinations of breasts.
• Providing preconception and prenatal care.
• Offering education and information about breastfeeding, pregnancy health, nutrition, exercise, fertility and infant care.
