Job Description :
A leading global financial services institution is seeking an experienced senior professional to join its Regulatory Strategy & Policy (RS&P) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing the firm's footprint and influence with regulators across the UK, Europe, and MEA regions. Responsibilities:
  • Lead regulatory advocacy and engagement efforts with key regulators across the UK, Europe, and MEA, both directly and through trade associations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to analyze the regulatory landscape, identify key challenges and opportunities, and define advocacy priorities for the organization.
  • Develop engagement strategies and manage the regulatory engagement process to maximize influence and impact.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholder engagement on regulatory policy topics, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and aligning perspectives.
  • Represent the company in trade associations, industry forums, and bilateral/multilateral meetings with regulators.
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging regulatory trends, escalate relevant issues, and advise on strategic positioning.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and execute regulatory policy advocacy positions.
  • Manage the Regulatory Strategy and Advocacy (RSA) process to provide consistency and prioritize regulatory advocacy opportunities.
  • Contribute to drafting or coordinating responses to key regulatory consultations and policy proposals.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Significant experience in regulatory strategy and advocacy, preferably within a large, complex global financial services firm or regulatory body.
  • Strong knowledge of UK, European, and MEA regulatory environments, with a track record of successful regulatory engagement.
  • Experience working with UK and European regulators, ideally in regulatory advocacy or implementation roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an understanding of business areas and their regulatory context.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex processes and prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong internal networks.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and engaging in multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment, adaptability, and resilience.
  • Experience in project management and navigating matrix structures.
