Release and Transition Manager - Agile - Birmingham

Hybrid working available - Salary up to £50k

Release & Transition Manager required for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a Release Manager to come on board to be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the deployment and transition process into business as usual throughout the service lifecycle.

This is an exciting new role where you will take ownership of the release policy, including planning, scheduling, defining scope, raising change requests, and managing resources. You will ensure that release objectives are in line with both business and customer requirements. Additionally, you will track and report on release progress, quality, risks, and issues while managing third-party testing suppliers. You will also work closely with the Test Manager and Technical Change Managers to oversee all technical change implementations.

Key skills and responsibilities,

• Strong Release Management experience
• Previous Transition experience
• Maintaining the 60 day and 90-day environment release plans
• Line management experience
• Experience with ITIL processes related to Release, Change, and Configuration Management, or project management expertise
• Experience of using DevOps or similar collaboration tools to deliver releases
• Knowledge of cloud based Azure services
• Validating the statuses in Azure ADO are correct prior to release
• Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders across various functions and organizational levels
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile/Waterfall) and testing methodologies
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in overseeing test partners
