Are you seeking a rewarding role that offers flexibility and the chance to make a real difference? If you’re passionate about supporting older people and value the opportunity to work on a relief basis, this position could be ideal for you.
As a Relief Catering Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our care home residents by preparing nutritious and appealing meals. Your responsibilities will include designing menus that cater to the unique dietary needs of older, vulnerable individuals, some of whom may have reduced appetites. Working closely with your care team colleagues, you’ll help ensure each resident receives the care and attention they deserve during mealtimes.
While experience in catering for older people is an advantage, it’s your enthusiasm and commitment to quality food that matter most. You’ll join a supportive team where your organisational skills and teamwork will be highly valued.
At CrossReach, we value a respectful and inclusive environment for both our service users and staff. Join us and be part of a team that truly makes a difference.
CrossReach has been at the forefront of high quality social care for over 150 years, providing loving care to people of all ages and supporting them to live life to the full whatever their circumstances. Today we are one of the largest social care providers in Scotland, with experience across a broad range of services. We are still growing, learning, and improving, thanks to the incredible people we have the privilege to support, and all those who support us. We are part of the Church of Scotland and aim to provide social care services and specialist resources in Christ’s name to further the caring work of the Church to people in challenging circumstances.
As we do our work in Christ’s name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
