Removals Operations Supervisor - Greenford, Greater London
Are you an experienced LGV driver looking to transition into transport administration? Our client is seeking a dedicated Removals Operations Supervisor to manage daily operations and ensure a seamless moving experience for their clients. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of scheduling and logistics within the removals industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing and organising removal teams to provide prompt and effective service.
- Managing the distribution of resources, scheduling, and logistics.
- Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and health and safety standards.
- Establishing a constructive team atmosphere while offering guidance and assistance to employees.
- Successfully responding to consumer enquiries and addressing operational problems.
- Monitoring vehicle maintenance and ensuring proper equipment usage.
- Tracking performance indicators and sharing important discoveries.
- Controlling inventory levels and guaranteeing that the required supplies are available.
- Collaborating with other divisions to maximise effectiveness.
- Helping with hiring, educating, and developing employees.
- Putting operational upgrades into practice to improve service delivery.
- Addressing any issues that arise on the job site and solving them immediately.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in removals, logistics, or transport industry.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team management abilities to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A valid UK driving licence (LGV licence would be an advantage).
