We are looking for a Repairs service manager to join and oversee our in-house Repairs Services function. With several direct reports and a team of trade operatives, you will oversee pre-inspections, specify, supervise and complete a range of repair, maintenance and refurbishment works. We are looking for a technically strong, dynamic individual to work collaboratively cross-functionally to maximise the viability of the service through income-generating opportunities.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team delivering repairs and maintenance services
  • Control and monitor income and expenditure
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the correct balance between reactive and planned maintenance
  • Be responsible for effective diagnosis, remedial action and quality control of building defects, in line with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements.
  • Write specifications and tender work as appropriate.
  • Utilise reports and data to monitor the performance and productivity of the team and subcontractors.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all colleagues work in a safe and healthy environment through the implementation of health and safety at work

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Managed a repairs function in social housing, contractor or client-side
  • Managed large budgets, ensuring income and expenditure are in line with budget estimates
  • Managed a variety of repair and maintenance works, Including reactive repairs
  • Full UK clean driving licence, and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Technically qualified with an HND, HNC or comparable qualification in a relatable subject.
