The RoleAs a Reporting Accountant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the FP&A Manager - Training with providing a reporting service to the Land Sector Training Business Unit (BU) providing accurate and timely financial data.

Day-to-day, you'll liaising with the Group, Sector and Business Facing Finance teams, working within the Land Sector FP&A Team:

  • Providing a reporting service for the Business Facing finance teams within the Training BU within agreed Sector and Group deadlines.
  • Deputising for the FP&A Manager when required.
  • Assisting with managing the relationship with Group and BU Finance.
  • Supporting identified continuous improvement projects on behalf of the BU finance and Sector FP&A teams.
  • Support consolidation, review and sign-off of the Training Business Unit management accounts with the Training FD.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Portsmouth monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential Experience of the Reporting Accountant:

  • Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review.
  • Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of industry and regulatory standards in respect to Financial Reporting.
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proven track record using BPC Reporting system or a similar application.

Qualifications for the Reporting Accountant:

  • You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent / similar.
