Residential Conveyancer - GMP RECRUITMENT LIMITED : Job Details

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful legal firm located in Birmingham. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team for a full time, permanent position, located at their office just south of Birmingham.

The position will be office-based, working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. They are offering a highly competitive salary of up to £50k.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified solicitor or licensed paralegal with 2-3 years PQE and be a very organised individual with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload of residential property sales.

Residential Conveyancer main duties:

• Assist clients with the purchase and sales of residential properties.
• Handle the exchanging of sales contracts, ensuring that documentation is correct and adheres to UK law.
• Updating and maintaining a case management system.
• Communicating with clients daily, dealing with matters over the phone, email, letter or in person.
• Listening to the concerns of clients and responding to feedback.
• Verifying a client’s supporting legal documents.
• Thoroughly check any necessary Land Registry documents.
• Keeping clients and business safe from money laundering and other fraudulent activity.

Residential Conveyancer required skills and experience:

• Degree or appropriate qualification in Law or Conveyancing
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience, managing your own caseload of conveyancing transactions through to completion.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Approachable and well-presented.
• If you have a client following, this would be advantageous but is not essential.
