Residential Credit Controller - Savills : Job Details

Role Overview

The role involves working within a Client focused team. The individual will have the responsibility to work alongside a team of specialist credit controllers on the portfolio. High volume of calls are required and the role involves working with debt recovery agents. Liaising with a large number of both internal Clients and external tenants is a daily requirement so a high level of professionalism must be maintained at all times.  

Key Responsibilities

 • Responsible for the timely collection of Rent/Service Charge/Insurance and all other charges demanded on the clients system.• Run basic arrears reports off the client system using Business Objects.• Manage and monitor aged debt and ensure this is being recovered.• Liaise with Banking/Treasury to ensure receipts are being posted.• Liaise with Property Managers to ensure arrears are reviewed on a fortnightly basis, which will resolve queries and ensure debts that are not being recovered are escalated.• Liaise with Accounts if charges need to be amended/refunds need to be processed.• Deal with tenant queries and ensure these are passed onto the relevant teams, following these up if no resolution is sought.• Ensure any recommendations for write offs are noted on the system, followed by email from the Property Manager/Asset Manager.• Unallocated Cash/Unidentified: Work closely with banking to ensure this is being reviewed and kept to a minimum.• All other duties that are required by banking specific to client systems and the clients requirement.

Key Skills• Residential Credit Control experience.• Maintain any qualifications required for your role.• Have at least 1 years’ experience in Property Management Accounting.• Have at least 1 years’ experience of Property Management systems.• Excellent organisation skills• Excellent time management skills.• Excellent attention to details skills.• Excellent communicator.• Strong team player.

The structure consists of Head of credit control, Senior Team Leader, Two Senior Credit Controller + Specialist credit controllers.
