This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a long-established and reputable law firm in Portsmouth. This is not a temporary role-you'll initially cover for a colleague on maternity leave, but due to strong demand, the position has been created as a permanent opportunity in a growing team.

The Role & Team

You'll join a thriving Residential Conveyancing team of seven, including two paralegals and two secretaries. The firm operates an efficient structure where each fee earner is paired with a dedicated secretary, allowing you to focus on progressing transactions smoothly.

With a high volume of work and a steady pipeline of referrals from local estate agents and lenders, this role does not require business development-your caseload will be ready and waiting.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing files from inception to completion.
• Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared ownership, deeds of variation, and new builds.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, surveyors, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high service standards.
