Residential Real Estate Solicitor - 2 to 7 years PQE - Amersham, Marlow or High Wycombe based

AJ Chambers are currently recruiting for a Residential Solicitor for our client, a partner-led, full service and highly ranked firm with a presence in the regions as well as London, who work with clients both in the UK & internationally.

A well established firm of around 150, they are looking to hire a Residential Solicitor due to continued growth. They act for buyers and sellers, investors and developers, working on HNW conveyancing and more complex matters including new build, retirement properties, leasehold. With a team of over 20 (including Trainees and Paralegals) you'll be joining a highly successful, supportive environment.

This opportunity is ideally suited for a solicitor of 2-7+ years PQE who is happy running their own caseload independently.

You will have/experience needed:

  • Strong knowledge of drafting agreements, deeds, leases and contracts.
  • Experience in handling fast paced work whilst delivering excellent customer service.
  • Technical expertise and knowledge including residential sales, purchases, leasehold transactions, Transfers of Equity, shared ownership, lease extensions.
  • Ability to work closely with the Partner in Charge of the team, handle both their own case load, and have exposure to Partner’s cases from time to time.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • In their personal fee earning work billing in accordance with set targets, other than where exceptional circumstances apply.
  • Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s AML policies, along with quality and risk management procedures.
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking, dealing with a number of matters at any given time.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ensure proper control of work in progress, billing and cash collection.
  • Be effective in networking and new business development, retaining existing contacts and developing new work from existing clients, seeking new clients for themselves and others. Will develop and support marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers and endeavour to promote the firm in their professional and personal lives.
  • Gain or maintain IT skills appropriate to modern legal practice, comfortable using a Case Management System.
  • Proficient at fee recording and administration.
  • Travel to other offices and client sites will be required.
