Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Restructuring Director to join their Birmingham office. In this role, you will win, lead and manage restructuring projects, working closely with clients to identify financial issues, develop turnaround strategies, and implement solutions that stabilise and enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and lead restructuring assignments, including business reviews, financial analysis, and stakeholder negotiations.
- Develop and implement turnaround strategies to address financial distress and operational inefficiencies.
- Work closely with clients to provide strategic advice and practical solutions for business recovery.
- Coordinate financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support restructuring plans.
- Liaise with creditors, banks, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful restructuring outcomes.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in restructuring.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in business restructuring, insolvency, or accelerated M&A/corporate finance.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of the Birmingham market and local business landscape is a plus.
