They also offer excellent career progression opportunities and a wide range of benefits.Your new roleAs a Risk and Assurance Manager, you will:
- Responsible for delivering an effective risk & assurance framework, managing strategic and operational risks within appetite, and providing assurance to the Board and stakeholders on the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Oversee the outsourced internal audit process and in house audit & assurance work, including a review of operating controls, processes and improvements to existing policies and controls.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the group's approach to risk and assurance is engaging and collaborative whilst maintaining appropriate oversight & independence.
- Prioritise and escalate issues resulting in potential non-compliance with the leadership team and the Audit & Risk Committee where necessary.
- Responsible for the effective implementation of the assurance framework, leading the team and the business to perform independent assurance reviews of key risk areas across the first and second lines of defence.
- Line management of a multidisciplinary team, (Including Risk, Assurance, and Insurance) with the ability to mentor, inspire and drive high standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Risk and Assurance knowledge, ideally from within the housing, construction, property field, although individuals with wider sector knowledge are also highly encouraged to apply.
- Significant knowledge of risk, internal control and compliance management frameworks.
- Good systems and technological knowledge, such as being able to utilise excel and other data systems.
- Experience within a managerial capacity, such as leading a small yet successful team within a large business.
- Ideally, an accounting or professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or reputable risk/compliance management accreditation.

- Salary of £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.
