Group Risk & Compliance Manager
  • Location: either Taunton, Eastleigh or South Ockendon or remote as you are willing and able to travel to our offices as needed.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: depends on experience

We are seeking a Group Risk & Compliance Manager to lead and manage our compliance team effectively. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, this pivotal role involves delivering the Annual Compliance Monitoring Programme and enhancing compliance awareness across the company to support our business strategy.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed.
  • Ensure compliance KPIs and objectives are met, fostering a culture of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ and prioritising client-first outcomes.
  • Promote, develop, and enable our values and culture within the team and across the business.
  • Oversee compliance ‘sign-offs’ for changes to client journeys and financial promotions.
  • Manage regulatory breaches, complaints, data protection, financial crime, and all other relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare and complete FCA regulatory returns accurately and on time, including Gabriel Return and Value Measures reporting.
  • Deliver the Training & Competence Plan, ensuring supervision and monitoring are completed to high standards within required timescales.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance standards are implemented and investigate any issues.
  • Prepare and deliver Monthly Risk Assessments for each business unit.
  • Deliver the Risk & Compliance Monitoring Plan on time, ensuring high-quality reviews are completed in accordance with company standards.
  • Support staff by providing induction training on Risk & Compliance and Regulation.
  • Evaluate and review efficiencies in all compliance processes to ensure consistent record keeping and monitoring throughout the business.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to share best practices and achieve common objectives.

  • Experience with the FCA Connect System.
  • Commercial awareness with a thorough understanding of insurance products, distribution, and processes.
  • IT literacy, strong analytical skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Recognised industry and/or professional Level 3 Qualification.
  • Commitment to work towards the ICO Advanced Certificate in Compliance.
