Your new companyA well known and ambitious legal firm based in North Hampshire seeks a thoroughly experienced Compliance Manager with 5 years' experience in a legal firm to join the firm and lead the Compliance Team.This is primarily an office-based role. Sorry- Candidates coming from the financial services sector will not be considered. Your new role
- You will be managing and developing a best-in-class internal risk and compliance function, with the remit to improve processes, introduce new initiatives and lead the team through an exciting time of development and a number of projects.
- You will have regular liaison with the Compliance Board on all aspects of the team's remit and performance and a number of interesting projects.
- You will have excellent knowledge of SRA and FCA compliance models.
- And you will support staff with queries in conduct (e.g. conflicts) and AML questions and reporting.
- You will oversee complaints and claims risk management, practising certificate renewals, compliance record keeping, monitoring and reporting.
- You will ensure that the firm's policies and procedures are up-to-date through regular review and monitoring.
- You will run compliance training for new starters with the firm and regular updates and bespoke training for staff as required.
- You will undertake and review compliance audits and advise on improvements where required.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will have at least 5 years experience in a Risk and Compliance Manager role, which must have been gained within a legal firm.
- You will ideally hold a relevant Risk or Compliance qualification
- You will have the ability to translate legal principles into understandable language and communicate at all levels through the firm.
- You will have up-to-date knowledge of risk and compliance requirements in the legal profession.
- You will be ambitious and have the ability to drive the team forward with new ideas and enthusiasm.

- A competitive salary in the range £70-80000 plus bonus

- This is primarily an on-site role and the expectation is that you will ideally work in the office in North Hampshire 5 days a week.
