Road Freight Clerk - Right Now Recruitment : Job Details

Right Now Group are working with a leading, worldwide freight forwarder based in the West Midlands.

Our client requires an experienced Road Freight Clerk to join the existing team as an expert in their field. The role requires exceptional knowledge, experience and understanding of road freight of UK and Europe for both import, and export movements.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Road Freight Clerk:

• Servicing existing client accounts - customs clearing and freight forwarding
• Generation and presentation of proposals to clients at all levels
• Preparation of estimates/proposals i.e. costing schedules, to clients
• Negotiation with clients and supplier regarding rates.
• Coordination, communication, collaboration.
• Ensure administrative elements of the position are completed to a high level.
• Building off existing products and develop new products/trade lanes

The successful Road Freight Clerk:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Road freight.
• Client engagement and relationship management at all levels.
• Excellent Road freight and distribution operational knowledge/capability.
• Strong network of road freight providers.
• Good understanding and knowledge of customs.

Benefits of a Road Freight Clerk:

Package: £28,000 - £35,000 p/a salary + Overtime + Pension + Holiday

Hours: Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm)
