Road Freight Trainee Maternity Cover - A1 Personnel Employment Agency Ltd : Job Details

This is a 6-month maternity cover position, with the possibility of extension. As a European Road Freight Trainee, you will support the Road Freight team with the creation, processing, and management of shipments, both import and export. This role will help ensure that our services meet client needs in a timely and cost-effective manner while contributing to the development of the department and the wider company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and create Groupage shipments for assigned services.
• Assist the Supervisor/Manager and colleagues with booking, customer support, invoicing, and general departmental tasks.
• Ensure clients' needs and expectations are met, and where possible, exceeded with attention to timeliness and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the department and the company.
• Assist with customs clearance procedures for exports and imports in collaboration with the CCT department.
• Work with Management and Directors to maximize departmental and company profitability.

Main Duties:

• Create jobs and manifests in Navitas.
• Ensure timely invoicing.
• Prepare and submit necessary documents for the Customs team to process.
• Manage filing and documentation.
• Communicate with overseas agents to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide excellent customer service via email and phone, ensuring all queries are handled effectively.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of European road freight and customs procedures (training provided).
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
