Road / Seafreight Customs Clerk - Freightserve : Job Details

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Road / Seafreight Customs Clerk for a busy well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Feltham, Middlesex area.

We are looking to expand our import/export customs clearance team based in Feltham. This department has seen rapid growth recently and we are now looking for a candidate who combines an understanding of all aspects of customs clearance operations, is highly computer literate and has excellent communication skills.

Duties:-

• Prepare accurate customs clearance data entry work in accordance with customer instructions.
• Understand all shipping documentation.
• Monitor all shipments through effective communication with colleagues internally.
• Accurately create invoicing and purchase orders in line with commercial direction.
• Act as cover when required within the team.

Candidate profile:-

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in customs clearance data entry work using MCP, CNS and Descartes freight communities.
• Full understanding of multiple import/export Customs Clearance processes/CPCs
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Candidate must possess ability to work both on his/her own initiative and within a team framework.
• Candidate must have ability to understand team goals and have the organisational skills to help achieve said goals, daily and weekly

Benefits:-

• 20 days annual leave increasing incrementally to 25 days through 5 years loyal service
• Bonus paid annually

Working hours are; Monday - Friday 0900 - 17.30
