Roofer - Residential & Commercial

£18 - £20 p/hour

A highly sought-after opportunity to work a leading roofing company based out of Leeds. Due to an influx of new projects, my client is looking to recruit a new qualified roofer / roofing gang to join them on a permanent basis.

The Ideal Candidates will have a strong background in Roofing with experience in both Roof Tiling and Slating. This role will predominantly involve the installation of roofs to new build properties as well as re-roofs and repairs. Experience in Leadworks is preferred for the fitting of flashings to canopies and chimneys etc.

A full UK Drivers License and vehicle will be required for travelling between multiple sites and a set of tools necessary for carrying out the job would be ideal.

A Blue or Gold CSCS card is required and candidates without this will not be considered.

The Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as asphalt, shingles, metal, or tiles.
• Inspect roofs for damage and determine the best course of action for repairs or replacements.
• Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions.
• Remove old roofing materials and properly dispose of them.
• Install insulation or vapor barriers as needed.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Clean and maintain work area and tools.

The Requirements

• Full UK Driving License
• Blue or Gold CSCS card.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a roofer.
• Access to your own tools.
• Knowledge of different roofing materials and their installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
