Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic individual to join a busy team specialising in thepurchase and sale of farms, estates and rural properties, to based in the York Office. This is rewarding role for a team player; ideal for someone who enjoys delivering first class client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update REAPIT software to ensure accurate record keeping of instructions, internet listings and buyer databases. Training will be given.
- Work as a team gathering information, creating data rooms and analysis of documentation as part of bringing rural properties to the market.
- Responsibility for managing and maintaining agency compliance and maintaining compliance procedures to audit standards.
- Preparation of pitch documentation and reports using both Word, Adobe and PowerPoint, some creative writing may be required and attention to detail key.
- To provide support to the Rural Agency Head and assist the wider team.
- Manage and book travel arrangements where required
- Typing and proof reading of documents
- Raising Purchase Orders and processing supplier invoices
- Invoicing including disbursement recovery and fees
- Proactively reviewing debtors and disbursements
- Liaising with vendors, purchasers and contractors
- Answering the telephone and assisting with queries where possible, and/or taking accurate messages
Key Skills
- Previous administration experience is preferred, but not essential
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Highly organised, flexible and able to clearly prioritise duties and meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to pick up new software quickly
- Strong typing skills, including audio dictation (not essential) to produce accurate documentation to deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up to date filing and contact lists.
- Answer the telephone in a professional manner and redirect or take a message efficiently and accurately.
- Communicating effectively with clients.
- Agricultural and rural knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
Team Overview
The successful candidate will be joining the York Rural Agency team, which extends to 4 members within the York office and 3 located in other Northern offices. The wider York team extends to around 35 individuals across various disciplines which include Estate Management, Rural Professional, Food and Farming and Architecture & Building Surveying. In addition, the office has a Residential Agency team dealing with properties across Yorkshire, with whom we work closely.
