As a Sales Analyst supporting the Sales & Customer Services Teams, you will be responsible for analysing sales and service data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance sales performance and service efficiency. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in data visualisation, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the sales, marketing, and wider business teams.Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret sales and service data to enable the Sales Management Team to make best possible decisions – eg regarding pricing, resource planning.
- Develop and maintain sales reports and dashboards for tracking key performance metrics.
- Preparation of Board/SLT/Internal analysis alongside finance.
- Capacity planning within Customer Services and Sales; analyse which resource is focused on what activities.
- Interaction with S&OP process to enable selling in the right areas and producing heat maps, target lists.
- Nationals Customers & Manufacturers Pipeline management: keep up to date, supporting the commercial proposition (alongside finance).
- Prepare bid documents and other presentations and reports as required.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales, drive service efficiencies and improve business performance.
- Assist in forecasting sales trends and setting performance targets.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research as required to identify trends
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance and operations teams as required to support decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining clean and organised datasets.
- Support the implementation of CRM systems and sales automation tools.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Degree level qualification; Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred
- Certification in data analysis or business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in similar role(s) in fast-paced and changeable environment
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
