About the Role:

My client is seeking a dynamic Sales Director to lead and develop sales activities in Germany. This pivotal role is crucial for the company's growth, leveraging exceptional networking skills and business acumen. The Sales Director will manage and coach a team of Regional Managers, ensuring the overall development of the sales team. This role involves regular interaction with physicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and also be a part of the DACH leadership team, contributing to overall strategy for the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy with Marketing & Medical teams, ensuring alignment and execution through various channels.
  • Coordinate and align the sales team to boost sales, earnings, and market share, while fostering strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ensure effective KOL engagement and represent the sales force at events and committees.
  • Prepare and manage the sales budget, monitor competitive activities, and collaborate with the Global SFE team to enhance efficiency.

Field Activities:

  • Spend time in the field with the sales team to assess plan implementation and effectiveness.
  • Organize sales meetings and contribute to reports, forecasts, and budgeting.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard local sales team members, providing technical guidance and coaching.
  • Motivate, lead, and develop the sales organization, ensuring appropriate training and retaining top talent.

Leadership Team Contribution:

  • Contribute to strategic priorities and key programs for the Germany and DACH organization, ensuring smooth communication and addressing specific problems.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with local regulations and uphold the company's integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Pharmacovigilance obligations and report any potential code of conduct issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA.
  • Long term experience in a similar role, preferably in the Allergy or Respiratory environment.
  • Enthusiastic, patient-centric, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills for people and data, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Good understanding of professional reference frameworks and drug legislation.
  • Comfortable with science-driven content
  • Experience with the target audience (KOLs, Germany, and Allergy/Respiratory market) is ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in sales techniques and coaching.
  • Proven track record of building and leading a successful sales team.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution oriented.
  • Structured and analytical approach with the ability to take corrective actions promptly.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Germany.
