Sales Ledger Clerk

We are currently seeking an immediately available Sales Ledger Clerk to join a growing manufacturing company based in Gillingham. This temporary assignment is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to assist with a backlog of work, with the potential for a permanent contract as the company continues to expand.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Managing the sales ledger and ensuring all invoices are issued timely and accurately.
- Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
- Liaising with the sales team to resolve outstanding queries.
- Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle.
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Working to strict monthly and annually collections targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
- Must be immediately available or able to start within a week.
- Strong understanding of the sales ledger process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
