Job Description :

Rhotic Media is a financial services agency with operations in content marketing, media and events.

The agency works with clients in capital markets, personal finance and (re)insurance. Together, these segments span almost every area of financial services, including banking, investments, general insurance, pensions, payments, risk and securities services.

OUR APPRENTICESHIP

The Rhotic Elevate Degree Apprentice programme is a multi-award-winning scheme that has achieved national recognition over the past four years due to the springboard it offers candidates into the financial services industry.

Our apprentices tackle important, meaningful, work from day one. They learn the fundamental concepts that support the functioning of global capital markets and get to work on client accounts that include some of the largest financial institutions and marketing companies in the world.

As apprentices study for their undergraduate degree, they combine on-the-job training with off-the-job learning to learn how the industry works and gain core skills.

STRUCTURED TRAINING

The 2025 Sales Manager Degree Apprenticeship is supported by academic delivery from Anglia Ruskin University. Successful apprentices are awarded a BA (Hons) in Management and Chartered Manager Status (CMgr MCMI) from the Chartered Management Institute.

Apprentices at Rhotic are supported by colleagues who have already successfully completed a degree apprenticeship. This ensures candidate portfolios are built thanks to relevant work-based projects that cross with the apprenticeship’s Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSB) standards.

While dedicated management training on Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions are provided by the university, Rhotic dedicates regular work-based training to developing an understanding of capital markets, personal finance and insurance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The programme is perfect for outgoing individuals looking to begin a career in sales in Financial Services or Financial Media. It is based at our Chelmsford office for four days each week (Monday to Thursday).

You will develop an understanding of how financial companies market their products, establish your own extensive contact book and have the opportunity to earn exceptional commission from the first month.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be expected to demonstrate a hard-working attitude, a willingness to use your initiative, to exhibit curiosity and persistence. You must be excited by the prospect of face-to-face and telephone based sales as well as the relentless pursuit of revenue via digital communications.

In return you will learn about financial services, sales and marketing and will have the opportunity to work as part of a friendly and collaborative team.

In year one, you will work across our events portfolio, beginning on conference sponsor and delegate sales before progressing to print, digital media and awards sales.

From year two, you will begin to learn about content marketing, media law, advertising regulations and strategic consultancy.

You will regularly liaise with clients and be granted the autonomy to manage your own workload. Some domestic and international travel can be expected.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an agency with bold ambition, in an innovative and multi-layered role designed to give you the skills and experience that will benefit you throughout your long-term career.
