About the Role
Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking energy firm seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining our Salesforce platform, ensuring it supports the evolving needs of the business as they drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce Development: Design, develop, and deploy customized solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and integrations with external systems.
- Platform Maintenance: Oversee day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and resolving Salesforce-related issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather requirements and deliver tailored Salesforce solutions.
- Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other business-critical systems using tools like REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Data Management: Ensure the integrity and security of data within Salesforce, implementing robust data management practices.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation to support ongoing development and training.
- Innovation: Stay updated on the latest Salesforce features and recommend ways to leverage them to meet business goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer in a commercial setting, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce integrations.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Administrator, or other relevant credentials.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with data migration and ETL tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with energy industry processes, such as customer onboarding, billing, or energy trading, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Salesforce industries (formerly Vlocity) is a plus.
