The Company

An expanding, global business with headquarters in Buckinghamshire, are looking for a SAP BYD Systems Accountant to join team on a 6 month FTC basis. As part of a major systems transformation project, they are seeking an experienced SAP BYD Systems Accountant to support the financial systems function and ensure smooth operations within their ERP environment.

Role Overview:

The SAP BYD Systems Accountant will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and optimising SAP Business By Design (BYD) within the finance department. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and ERP systems to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the finance system expert for SAP BYD, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.

• Support the finance team in the day-to-day operation of SAP BYD, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance.

• Assist with system configurations, updates, and enhancements to optimise financial workflows.

• Work closely with IT and finance teams to ensure SAP BYD aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.

• Develop and implement reporting solutions within SAP BYD to support financial analysis and decision-making.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reporting and system processes.

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations.

• Provide training and documentation to finance team members on SAP BYD best practices.

• Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to support system upgrades and improvements.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Systems Accountant with expertise in SAP Business ByDesign (BYD).

• Strong finance and accounting background (qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred - ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and ERP system administration.

• Knowledge of financial processes, including P2P, O2C, and general ledger management.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP BYD system issues effectively.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, global organisation within a finance function.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

• Working Model: Hybrid (Office-Based in Marlow with Remote Work Flexibility)

• Start Date: ASAP

• Day Rate/Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
