We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scheduling Team Leader to manage and lead our clients scheduling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team, ensuring efficient and accurate scheduling processes, and optimising workflows to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organisational skills, and the capacity to handle a high-volume of scheduling tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of scheduling coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure team goals are met.
- Schedule Management: Oversee the scheduling of resources, staff, or services in accordance with business needs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process Optimisation: Identify areas for improvement in scheduling processes and implement best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of schedules and any changes.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource allocation issues, and any other scheduling-related concerns promptly and effectively.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of schedules, changes, and team activities in scheduling systems or databases.
- Training & Development: Train new team members on scheduling procedures and tools, as well as provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates and reports on team performance, resource utilisation, and any issues affecting scheduling efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all scheduling complies with internal policies, labor laws, and any relevant industry regulations.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in scheduling, team management, or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts in a calm and professional manner.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience in scheduling engineers is advantageous.
