We are seeking an organized, proactive, and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join a dedicated team at a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the education sector and enjoys working in a fast-paced, school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the school, including handling phone calls, managing emails, and welcoming visitors.
  • Maintain and update student records using SIMS (School Information Management System), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation of school communications such as newsletters, notices, and reports.
  • Support the school leadership team with clerical duties, including organising meetings, preparing documents, and taking minutes when necessary.
  • Assist with admissions, attendance monitoring, and other pupil-related administrative tasks.
  • Manage the school’s inventory of supplies and resources, coordinating orders and deliveries.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school administrative role is mandatory.
  • Proficiency and proven experience with SIMS (School Information Management System) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other standard office software.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting.
